I’ve dedicated over two decades to the art of tattooing in Sonoma County.
My journey began in Willits, but in 1998, I made the move to Sonoma County with one goal in mind: to secure a tattoo apprenticeship. Driven by my passion for art and a deep love for the world of tattoos, I embarked on my apprenticeship in the spring of 2001, and my dedication to honing my skills has been unwavering ever since.
My professional journey started at Good Time Tattoo in Santa Rosa, where I spent several years refining my craft. After a brief hiatus, in 2008, I joined the talented team at Valkyrie Tattoo. I left Valkyrie at the start of 2024 for the next step in my tattoo journey. I'm now tattooing out of my own private studio, Fortress Tattoo in Rohnert Park, CA.
Throughout my career, my mission as a tattoo artist has remained constant: to deliver top-notch, high-quality tattoos with an unwavering commitment to exceptional design. I strive to create a safe and inclusive space for all my clients. My particular expertise lies in crafting bold, easily discernible designs, focusing on elements like shapes, line weight, flow, and precise placement to create truly unique pieces of art. I firmly believe that the clever use of contrast in color, shape, textures, and edges not only results in beautiful tattoos but also ensures their longevity. My artistic repertoire encompasses various styles, from larger-scale to smaller-scale work, black and grey or color, all executed in an illustrative fashion.
One of my strong suits as a tattoo artist is my ability to excel in cover-up work. I take great pride in the joy of transforming poorly executed tattoos into something beautiful, restoring confidence in those who may have felt insecure about a particular area of their body.
In 2017, I made the conscious decision to embrace sobriety, making it a top priority in my life. This means that the environment I provide is completely free from smoke, drugs, and alcohol. I have created a comfortable, inclusive space where sobriety, safety, and open communication are of the utmost importance.
